Monday, September 21, 2009 | PDFCU helps local boy go to Disney World with "Bowling For A Wish"
Partnering with The Wish Network, PDFCU recruited a group of fifteen bowling teams that gathered at Lee’s All-star Lanes on September 18th to raise money to support Michael, a 15 year old from Florence, SC.
Michael was born with sickle cell anemia; an inherited blood disorder that causes severe pain episodes. Mike’s immune system is compromised and he has been hospitalized numerous times with severe pain crises. He has endured multiple blood transfusions and, when experiencing severe crises, is unable to move. He is at times confined to a wheel chair. Mike’s condition puts him at high risk for a stroke.
With the donation of the bowling lanes by All-Star Lanes and the decorations provided by Paper Station, 100 percent of all donations were able to go directly to the cause.
The event raised over $600 for Michael's wish, which is to go to Disney World with his family. We wish Michael and his family a great time on their trip and the best of luck!
September 2009 | The Federal Reserve Board recently approved a new regulation that requires lenders to mail or deliver periodic statements for credit cards and other open-end loans at least 21 days before a payment is due.
The lending agreements the Pee Dee Federal Credit Union uses are written so that all consumer credit, including auto, signature, and lines of credit are considered open-ended and are covered under this regulation.
To bring us into compliance with requirements of this new regulation, please note the following:
- The due date for all your consumer loans has been changed to the 28th of each month starting with your October, 2009 payment. If you would prefer to keep your current payment date, you are encouraged and allowed to do so by coming into the PDFCU and signing a simple Modification Agreement.
- You will receive a monthly statement on your account. If you would prefer not to receive monthly statements, you may call 843-669-0461 or visit one of our branches to sign a statement waiver.
- For members that have their loan payments transferred automatically from savings or checking, the current transfer date will remain the same. The change in your loan due date may extend the term on the loan.
If you have questions, please call 843-669-0461.
